St. Louis Fine and Rare Wine Auction Postponed We regretfully announce the postponement of the St. Louis Fine and Rare Wine Auction to benefit St. Louis-based nonprofit Provident, Inc. The event was scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 11 through Sunday, Dec. 14. When Provident began the planning more than a year ago, we could not have foreseen the current economic challenges that our individual and corporate donors would be facing at this time. We believe strongly that this event will be positive and unique for St. Louis, but now is not an appropriate time to pursue this four-day fundraising event. Anyone who has already made a commitment will be fully reimbursed. In addition, Provident would like to extend a warm thank you to all those businesses and individuals in the community who supported us in this endeavor, and we look forward to your future involvement. Between now and the end of the year, we will be working to close the gap in the budget that this leaves with the hope that generous members of the St. Louis community will help with the shortfall in order that Provident can be there for all those in need in our community who need help opening the door to hope. Since 1860, Provident has been one of the community's strongest partners for creating hope and building self-reliance. Provident has relied on and appreciates the steadfast support and generous donations of the St. Louis community throughout the past 148 years.
